There are 3 parts of movement. . 1. Motor Control . 2. Strength . 3. Mobility . All of them together create an optimal & healthy way of moving. It’s when they get out of balance, when we’re likely to create damage. . S T R E N G T H alone will grow your muscles and let you look pretty sweet- but how sweet is it when your muscles have no more space to function. Tadaaa. There helps Mobility. . M O B I L I T Y without muscles also look good on pictures – but only for so long as your joints strike. Which is even worse. But tadaaa. There helps Strength. . Mobility & Strength are both nice to have- but without optimal movement patterns and the M O T O R C O N T R O L they won’t have the desired effect on our bodies. Tadaaa. There helps Y O G A. . A lot people figure - You have to be a born rubberband being able to do yoga. That mobility is innate and that yoga is all about bending, bowing and flexing. . A pity. That such believes are spreading. That we know so little about biomechanics. That we teachers need to show off with party trick poses. That yoga became an industry of which everybody wants a piece. That for the sake of business we risk planting destructive thoughts in heads. That in order to look good we do poses that have an reverse effect on our health. . But luckily. That yoga is patient. That it changes constantly. That diversity is still the best teacher. That it’ s a not dogmatic pool of tools for all. That the yoga world gets more aware of those issues. That everyone hast he freedom to choose their own reasons. That there arise so many people caring more about knowledge than fame.
