when everybody takes care of onesself, then e v e r y b o d y has somebody that takes care of onesself. there is a very wise woman in india, who spends her days doing nothing but hugging people and sharing the love she carries in her soul with everybody that needs it. She once was asked how she is able to do that 24 / 7 without getting super annoid. ‚Where love is, there is no effort.’, she answered with a calm smile.

i could not agree more. giving can be v e r y addictive because it gives you so much in return

- but though I too love to commit myself to supporting others whereever i possibly can - i learned that there need to be some boundries.

healthy ones. manners, do’s, dont’s and rules that society has shaped us with since the very first day, often keep us trapped in an destructive relationship to ourselves. taking care of yourself first is still oftentimes declared egoistic. aha. if you think so too, picture this neutrally and ask yourself - how is an empty vessel able to water a plant..? how is it possible to get food from an empty pot..? if a body lacks strengh, how could it lift a heavy weight without injuring itself..? . . fill up your battery first. then you can supply others with it - and the good news - you'll even double the outcome. . become a selfie consiously. without being selfish. 📷 @jennandthecamera
